Howdy LEGOlogists!

Today we are talking figs of a different kind. Miniland is the scale and style that LEGO uses for their displays at their themeparks and are completely brick built.

Building one is easy and customizing is a lot of fun, so let’s get to it shall we..

You will need:

  • 1 2×3 brick
  • 3 2×3 plates
  • 1 1×2 brick
  • 2 1×2 technic bricks with 1 hole
  • 2 1×2 inverted slopes
  • 8 1×2 plates
  • 2 2×2 plates
  • 1 1×1 plate
  • 2 1×1 round plates
  • 2 1×2 jumpers
  • 2 1×1 plate with clip
  • 2 hinge plates
  • 8 1×1 bricks

STEP 1

Take a 1×2 plate and stack 4 1×1 bricks on top of it, make 2.

STEP 2

Add a 1×2 inverted slope to the op of each leg, add a 2×3 plate across the top and 2 1×2 plates to the underside of the 2×3.

STEP 3

Add another 2×3 across the top, this is usually the belt.

STEP 4

Add a 2×3 brick, the 2 technic bricks on either end and a 1×2 brick in the middle of those 2.

STEP 5

Add the 1×1 round plates to the holes on the sides and place a jumper plate in the middle.

STEP 6

Attach the hinged plates to the round 1x1s and add the clips to the ends.

STEP 7

And now for the head.

1×1 plate with a jumper plate on top

2×2 plate with the “tube” part slotting into the stud on the jumper

2 1×2 plates at the back for the hair and 2 in the front for the face

cap it with a 2×2 plate

STEP 8

just attach the 1×1 plate at the bottom of the head to the jumper stud on the body and you are done!

So this is the basic construction of a miniland fig, you can chop and change around parts to build your own characters.
