2019 has been a been a fantastic year for zaLUG and to celebrate we had our annual xmas party on the 30th of November in Centurion.
As typical South Africans, we had a braai (a better version of a barbeque for our international friends) as well as some beer and merriment.
The Club has grown over the previous years, and we added an additional 20 odd members this year, with the scales of zaLUG now tipping over 70 members.
To celebrate we awarded our most loyal members with some sets, and also presented our first annual awards for Member of the Year, Build of the Year, and Builder of the Year, to celebrate our members and their achievements.
As decided by our members through nominations and votes our winners for the year were:
- Member of the Year – Willi Badenhorst
- Build of the Year – Joe Kirsten
- Builder of the Year – Peter Furstenberg
We’re looking forward to 2020, and knowing how great 2019 was, we’re sure that 2020 will exceed it!
