It’s that time of the year again when the kids of Gauteng compete in the World Robotic Olympiad. This year as the amount of entrants increased, the usual competition was split into two parts, with a Gauteng South and Gauteng North event.

The event at Steyn City was the Gauteng South event, and our intrepid zaLUG members headed down their to show off their stuff.

In particular the focus was more on our Great Ball Contraption teams, as they put the finishing touches to their circuit. With all the balls moving along, it created a lot of interest, and many people spent quite a lot of time tracking the ball from module to module.

While other members showed off their builds, you can certainly say that they were overshadowed by the GBC team.
